Merry Christmas!

December 23, 2011

Are we the only people who didn't send out a Christmas card? I think so!
Well, I hope this Christmas blog post will do!
Hunter and I laughed forever when we were writing our Christmas poem so we hope you enjoy!

Christmas 2011

It’s been a crazy year and a fun one too,
Everything is different, it all seems brand new!
We got married in March and started our life together,
This awesome thing called love like two birds of a feather.

Dental school has been a whirlwind of anatomy and tests;
Studying all night leaves Hunter no time for rest.
But we still find time to play scrabble and date,
We still know for sure that this marriage was fate :)

Lacy’s a busy bee; she’s always on the go,
Everyday in her field can be really high or really low.
From schizophrenic to manic the psych hospital has it all,
She diagnoses and treats, she’s found her true call.

Now they’re on their break but not from each other,
No, we’re not prego but Lacy’s excited to be a mother.
The primary presidency welcomed Lacy with open arms,
Hunter serves with the ward missionaries and new members he charms.

We are thankful for the gospel and the spirit we feel,
Christmas time reminds us that the Savior is real.
We know this poem is cheesy but the year finally ends,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our friends!

Still looking for the perfect Christmas stockings to be hung by our fireplace. Hunter didn't want the sequin stockings...he wants something a little more manly.
I am obsessed with our three little Christmas trees (thank you Leigh Ann) and our chevron rug!
We had fun making gingerbread houses with 5 couples in our ward.
I had to add a picture of our first Christmas together. This was about 2 weeks after we got engaged! Oh, how far we've come!

WE HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR EVER!
