Maternity Photos...

April 19, 2013

We are so ecstatic for our baby boy to come to the world and I can’t tell you how many hours of the day are consumed with thoughts of him. What will look like? What color hair? I hope he has blue eyes like Hunter. What will his temperament be like? Will he sleep through the night after a few weeks? Will he respond well to Baby Wise? Will I be able to nurse and give him a bottle? Will he come before or after his due date?

These questions and a million others flood my mind on a daily basis. I’m just trying to get through the potty breaks and bruised ribs, and the only thing that keeps me going is the treasure I get at the end of all this. There are really no words to express how happy we are. Don't let these serious war paint pictures fool you..we are HAPPY!
The paint war was an absolute blast! I have always wanted to do this! I spotted a few people watching us like we were nut cases. The only downside was that it took 2 hours to get the paint out of my hair…I think I am balding in certain spots now. And, we had to throw away all our clothes...but that was expected. Hunter still thinks he won the paint war but I think I got him pretty good. The fact that I even talked him into doing this crazy idea with me means that I WON! ha.

I am so happy to have our maternity shoot done! I don’t why it’s so stressful for me to get pictures done. Does anyone else feel this way? I always work myself up and worry that they won’t turn out good and it will be a waste of time. I end up liking 1 out of 10 pictures taken of me.

It was the exact opposite this time!!! I am so happy with all of my pictures and so thankful to Meghan Maxwell for shooting them for me. She is one of the best photographers out there and I am so happy to call her my new cousin!!!

I’ve had so many ideas floating through my head, and with the help of Pinterest and some other ideas of mine and Meghan’s, they just turned out perfectly. Now I have to decide which ones to print and frame and where the heck to put them!!!

We went to Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale, Arizona where we had our beautiful reception. I was a wreck trying to find something to wear. I would whine to Hunter, “I have nothing that fits anymore! What am I going to do?” He encouraged me to get a new outfit if I wanted, but I was determined to make something in my closet work. I wanted to wear a long blue dress from Anthropologie but it was too tight and cutting off my circulation. Then I remembered I am obsessed with sequins and had the perfect shirt. It wouldn’t fit over my belly so I decided to pull it up and make it a crop top. It was fun and I’m glad I saved the money. I just think maternity clothes are a waste of money. I would rather spend money on the baby!

Sorry for the maternity photos overload. I've done my duty of posting them on Facebook, Instagram and the blog.:) Sometimes I wish there was only one social media source.  I'm sure everyone is sick of seeing them and my big belly! Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend..until next time:)

Love, Lacy
