Missed My Baby

July 24, 2013

I had my first overnight shift last Friday night. I will be working 3-4 shifts a month at the psych hospital. It was so hard to part with this little man..and the big man:) We haven't been separated for more than 10 minutes since he was born, and I was a ball of mess in the car on the way to work. When I pulled into work I even opened the back door to get the car seat out. Weirdo. I also had to stop to pump at work and that was fun. I got home at 7:30 a.m. and I found Hunter and Riggs snuggling in our bed sleeping with their mouths open. Father like son. I just wanted to wake baby up and never let him go. I am already having attachment issues:) I think of how good it was for dad and baby to bond and have this time to get to know one another better. I kissed Hunter and he whispered to me, "I don't know how you do it. I didn't think it would be that hard." I grinned and laughed-Parenthood can be difficult and draining, but the reward is out of this world.

Love you Riggs.

Leave me a little love note and you won't regret it. xoxo
