Oreo Turkeys

December 05, 2013

I get a little overwhelmed when I think about everything I am grateful for in my life. I think that is why it has taken me a little too long to post about Thanksgiving. I get a little nervous when we are sitting at the Thanksgiving table, taking turns, telling each other what we are thankful for. I'm pretty good at communicating (most of the time), but when it comes to talking about my biggest blessings and tender mercies, I have a hard time getting through it without getting emotional. I'm not sure what to say and how to best express myself recently. It's like my mouth overflows with too many thoughts and words and I can't seem to say it just like I want. The best part about gratitude is that there is no wrong way to count your blessings! Soooo...here I go. It's worth a shot.

I'm thankful for a loving husband who looks at me like in the picture above +
A baby who has my whole heart +
Parents who do everything and anything for me +
In-laws who help take so much stress off my shoulders and who love me like their own daughter +
A sibling who is so giving and funny +
Sister-in-laws who are so talented and I learn so much from them +
A church calling where I get to teach children about prayer and Heavenly Father +
The gospel that gives me hope to be with my family forever +
Faith that makes me who I am +
Friends who support and comfort me +
Education that has taught me about hard work +
Self-timers +
A job that keeps my mind going and a little extra money +
Loans that help Hunter get through dental school +
Roof over our heads and food on our table +
Our health and strength +
To live in the USA +
Sour Patch Kids +
That I have had the opportunity to travel so much in my life +
Technology that allows us to take pictures and videos on-the-go +
Thanksgiving full of football and fun +
Riggy's smiles that keep me going +
Of course, these little turkeys made out of oreos and candy corn.
